Speculation on the Pit
Posted on 10-04-2002
by NetmasterGordon
There is speculation going about that the second half of the Sixth Jokers Card The Wraith: Hell's Pit is actually not coming out. This came about from an otherwise dope-ass interview where Violent J was misquoted regarding the upcoming second Wraith album. What Violent J was getting at is that Hell's Pit -- or any other album for that matter -- is as far from his mind as possible, as he is focused completely on the upcoming album The Wraith: Shangri-La. During the Riddlebox era, there was no thought of the Great Milenko, during the Cranival of Carnage era, there was no thought of Ringmaster, etc -- one era at a time. On November 5th it will be raining diamonds, but rest assured that one day it will raining hell!!

Tazewell police want Civic Center to foot Juggalo OT
Six departments amped patrols in July, fearing Faygo-soaked mayhem

October 3, 2002

By MICHAEL SMOTHERS

of the Journal Star

EAST PEORIA - Technically, the issue deals with less than ,000 and those involved say they hold no hard feelings.

But the rap group Insane Clown Posse and their Juggalos, the face-painted fans who swarmed the area for a late July concert and three-day gathering, might laugh at the political disruption they left behind.

Six police departments in Tazewell County, including East Peoria's and the Sheriff's Department, recently asked the Peoria Civic Center to compensate them for their expenses - much of it in overtime pay - to train and otherwise protect their communities from the Juggalos.

Because the young fans did so much damage in other cities, "We knew we had to be ready to (meet) their degree of mayhem," East Peoria Police Chief Edward Papis said Wednesday.

Morton Police Chief Nick Graff said, "From my perspective, this event affected more than Peoria; it affected the Tri-County Area."

Through the Tazewell County Association of Police Chiefs, the six departments cited the fact that the center required the event's promoters to pay the Peoria Police Department for the extra cost of about ,300 to control the thousands of potentially rowdy fans and protect that city.

But neither the Civic Center nor Peoria police formally notified the Tazewell departments of the coming Posse concert or the promoters' compensation deal with the city, said John Webb, Tremont's police chief and president of the Tazewell police chiefs' association.

Someone should have, and someone - either the Civic Center or the concert promoters - should repay the ,714 the Tazewell departments spent collectively, Graff said.

Because no such agreement was made in advance, however, the Civic Center won't do so, said Debbie Ritschel, its executive director. "It would be a precedent that should never be started," she said.

Ritschel agreed with Graff that the center's event-based business affects, and is affected by, the community that stretches miles beyond Peoria's city borders.

"Regionalism will be discussed on a lot of different levels (and) quite a bit" in coming months, in terms of the center's current and future role in the general area's service-based economy, she said.

But Ritschel sees "no parallel at all" between the police departments' compensation request and recent comments by her and other Civic Center officials that some area communities outside Peoria - especially East Peoria - should consider regular and structured contributions of some sort to help support the center.

The same week of the Juggalos' arrival, several Civic Center officials including Ritschel voiced their concern that a new and large luxury hotel planned for East Peoria, reportedly an Embassy Suites, will draw a huge portion of the downtown Peoria hotel business across the Illinois River.

That in turn will deplete revenue from Peoria's hotel, restaurant and amusement taxes - the center's primary source of funds - the officials said.

The six departments "are seeking compensation from the Civic Center" for its impact on the expenses of neighboring communities, "so in a way it is the same thing," Webb said.

That debate aside, the six departments apparently will have to absorb their costs for shielding their citizens from anticipated Juggalo mayhem. Webb listed the breakdown as: East Peoria, ,452; Washington, ,142; Morton, $1,830; Sheriff's Department, $1,530; Creve Coeur, , and Pekin, .

East Peoria's money was well spent, Papis said.

A brief but potentially violent disturbance broke out July 20 at the center between some Juggalos and Peoria police, who were quickly supported by officers from nearby departments through a mutual aid agreement that involves no financial compensation.

But the Juggalos who showed up in East Peoria during the event's three days caused no significant problems "because we were prepared," Papis said.

"Every time they gathered (here), we were right there, waiting for them at the gate," he said.

WRIF was the SHIT!!!
Posted on 9-30-2002
by NetmasterGordon

As you already know, Insane Clown Posse's invasion of 101.1 WRIF was totally devastating!! We heard from every member of the Hatchet family, from Twiztid and Blaze, Anybody Killa and Zug Izland, and even rap legend Esham for the first time on the radio. It was raining diamonds on all of Detroit and on all of the world through the magic of the World Wide Web last night.

Yes, but as devastating as last night was, we did run into a minor technical snag. The debut of the new single off of The Wraith entitled Ain't Yo Bidness was skipping a bit when it was playing. SOOOOOO, in honor of the success of last night's WRIF invasion and combined with the fact that we are approaching the FIVE week mark of the countdown to the Wraith, we will be presenting to all of you for your listening pleasure the full, unaltered, unedited, dope-as-holy-fuck version of Ain't Yo Bidness beginning tomorrow evening, right here on InsaneClownPosse.com!! It is true! Get ready to get your wig split again tomorrow night!!

Circus Magazine is holding an online poll to see what band should be on the cover of their next issue. Well, naturally the Wicked Clowns Insane Clown Posse are in the running for all the benefits, and to put it simply, WE WANT THAT COVER. So here's the deal, hit up those phat fuckers at CircusMagazine.com, find the sidebar for voting for the new cover (it's on the left-hand side), and put in your vote for who is obviously the most hype of the group, which is naturally INSANE CLOWN POSSE! And while you are there, you might take a moment to push a few of their other polls featuring ICP a few votes closer to absolute victory (not that the other guys even had a chance, or course).

The phones are ringing off the hook over at 101.1 FM Detoit the WRIF! Juggalos and Juggalettes everywhere are calling in their requests to hear "Crossing thy Bridge" invade the airwaves and spread the message that the Wraith is on its way! It is almost unreal the amount of calls they are receiving... until you put it into perspective that all you ninjas out there are Family and are totally down with the fresh new flavor that is the Sixth and Final Jokers Card!

Like I said, the WRIF phonelines are all tied up with Hatchet Family requests -- and they are all about it -- but they are getting so many calls on their business line that they can not take care of the daily tactics. If you are trying to get your requests into 101.1, please dial direct to their request line: 313.298.9743... that's 313.298.WRIF baby! Its the benefit for everyone: WRIF can school the daily flavor and you get a direct line to make your request, making it even more possible that "Crossing thy Bridge" will get mad airplay! So remember all you ninjas and ninjettes, call the request line, 313.298.9743, whenever you want to make a fresh request over at 101.1 FM the WRIF in Detroit!

Atlanta Record and CD Show Cancellation
Posted on 9-26-2002
by Web Crack Willy

Just when you were about to gear up for the Record and CD Show in Atlanta GA this Sunday...

Unfortunately the Record and CD Show has been cancelled. The Ramada Inn cancelled on the event and therefore, there will be no show. So, the Street Team is not going to be in Atlanta as earlier mentioned. This is very unfortunate indeed but Tom Dub has mentioned that Atlanta won't be forgotten. Some time soon the Pychopathic effect will be steering back to Atlanta GA, bringing with it the devastating flavor. So keep on your toes Atlanta for when the Hatchet falls on your city!

Weekly Freekly is delayed, but...
Posted on 9-17-2002
by NetmasterGordon

Yes, it is true. We finally got tired of Violent J's bitching about typing with a broken wrist, and let him off the hook on the Weekly Freekly. The doctor had to recently rebrake Violent J's wrist to get it to heal properly, and he's been crying like a little bitch whenever he's typing, so we're letting him slide on the Freekly until the cast comes off in about one month from now. (Yes, we tried dictation as a solution, but with the odd and long hours Violent J keeps no one has been able to keep up with him to type it up!)

HOWEVER, we aren't letting Violent J off the hook that easily. He still has a lot of things to say, so Violent J will be updating the Psychopathic Hotline with phat words of wisdom and the treal scoop from Psychopathic each and every day! To listen in on all the flavor hit up 714.647.2465 and hear what Violent J has to say!

Another Taste of the Wraith
Posted on 9-10-2002
by Web Crack Willy

Today is the day. As promised, we are bringing you the second single from the Sixth and Final Jokers Card! Why today? This day marks the calender; there are eight weeks left before the coming of the Wraith! Now some of you out there may think that you've already gotten that second taste of the Wraith but the bootleg that has been spreading around out there is bittersweet compared to this: the official track off of the devastating new album! For those of you that have been waiting, ignoring the temptation of false satisfaction, you will be truely rewarded.

Crossing thy Bridge was just one example of what's in store for the Sixth. The rock beat of this awesome song is just one sample of the ultimate freshness that awaits you. The second single is a mirror image of the first; an example of the mad rap flavor that you've been itching for. And speaking of mirrors there is a special treat waiting with this single: Twiztid is in affect! That's right, Jamie Madrox and the Monoxide Child will be featured on this new single that we present to you. So if you want to hear the new single from Insane Clown Posse, and we know you do, download 'Juggalo Homies' here and kick back to the wig-splitting tunes.

And what of the Weekly Freekly? Psychopathic Records is a mad house of activity. Ninjas here are moving faster than the eye can record yet still there is so much to take care of. But do not fear! Violent J's Weekly Freekly will be coming your way tomorrow!

Hallowicked Part 2
Posted on 9-9-2002
by Web Crack Willy

We announced this morning that Hallowicked, that awesome annual event, has been sold out. We here at Psychopathic Records have received over a thousand emails over the last few hours from those of you that wanted to attend yet were unable to get your tickets. We understand your plight and sympathize with all of you that have missed their chance in buying tickets to this monster of an event.

Unfortunately nothing short of a time machine or some other reality-bending device will make it possible for you to attend this great show. When we stated that the tickets were gone, we meant it. No tickets were held in reserve. They are gone.

As we have mentioned before, we have no tickets for this event on Halloween. What we can tell you is this. Psychopathic Records is currently working with the promoters to set up, for all of you that have missed the opportunity to get a ticket, a second day to Hallowicked that will occur on Devil's Night, Oct 30th. That's right; a second chance to be accountable at Hallowicked. But, like we said, we are working on it. Keep reading the news for any further details and if Devil's Night is a go, don't waste a second to get your tickets.

Yes, this year's Hallowicked, Insane Clown Posse annual mega-show held on Halloween celebrating all things WICKED, is sold out!! Ticketmaster is all out of 'em... that's it. There gone! The best hope for those without tickets is to look around and see if anyone (and this is doubtful, because the show will be off the chain) decides not to go and puts their tickets up for grabs!

Psychopathic Star Search

by Web Crack Willy

It is the dream of a lifetime come true! The Insane Clown Posse is shooting the first devastating video in California on the 14th and 15th of September for the Sixth Jokers Card! I know many of you will be schooled by this information; a brand-spankin’ wig-flippin’ video from ICP… what can be more off the chain than that? Well, hold onto your nugget cuz if you don’t it will likely blow off your shoulders! The video production company was going to hire 50 actors to take part in the video but Violent J, Shaggy, and Psychopathic Records would have no part in it. These 50 individuals must live, eat, and sleep the Juggalo way of life and that can mean only one thing… we require 50 lucky Juggalos for the ultimate video shoot.

Can you believe it?!? Well, it’s true! We are calling out for 25 Juggalos and 25 Juggalettes to star in this upcoming event! This is one of the greatest achievements a Juggalo could ever hope for: to go down in Hatchet History as one of those lucky few that were in the very first video for the Sixth and Final Jokers Card!!! But… can you be in the Los Angeles area by the 14th and 15th of September to take part in this triumphant event? Well, if you know you can then there is a certain production company that needs your information.

How it works is you send your information to here: Full Name, Age, Phone Number, Gender, and Email (and keep it real… you don’t want to mess up your chances on this one)! They will look over all the information and will get a hold of you if you happen to be one of those 50 lucky souls who get to experience Shangri-La in the flesh through the magic of music video! Why Southern Cali you might ask? Come on! We didn’t choose were this nation put its Movie Mecca now did we! So send in your information now!

The word on Esham

by NetmasterGordon

As many of you know Detroit wicked rap legend Esham has just signed up with Psychopathic Records, and will be dropping his first Psychopathic Records album Acid Rain on October 15th, 2002. Acid Rain is sort of like a greatest hits album, sporting some of the phat flavor from Esham's long and mighty rap career, but it also has some new flavor to it. For those familar with Esham it is a phat trip down the path of what has been, and for those who don't know Esham (what few people that is) get a chance to taste the best of what was and a bit of what is to come.

Speaking of upcoming flavor for Esham, you may have read a bit about Esham's next Psychopathic album Redemption. At this point we have very little information about what Esham has in mind for this all-new devastation, but from what we have heard it is a full-length album and it is throughly and without-a-doubt straight off-the-chain!! Redemption is target to be released sometime early next year.

Lastly, we have gotten all sorts of requests for Esham merchandise. In past years Esham merchandise has been mighty hard to acquire, and many people have asked if we are going to be dropping any Esham flavor ont eh HatchetGear product line. Well, yes indeed, around the end of the month or so we are going to be dropping a full line of Esham merchandise, everything from baseball jerseys to t-shirts to ball caps and more. Yes, for those many who have been seeking to sport Esham gear hardcore, your pleas have finally been answered in spades!

Keep hitting back here for more flavor regarding Esham and what tactics he's been pulling. And get your wig ready to be pulled stright fucking off when Acid Rain hits the shelves on October 15th!!
